Employers flouting the minimum wage have paid out £500,000 in back pay tostaff as a result of government action.The Inland Revenue has taken four tribunal cases and issued 66 enforcementnotices against firms since the pay law came into force in April last year,government figures show.Enforcement notices require employers to pay back money owed to staff. Allof the firms issued with the notices complied.A total of 3,436 complaints were made in the eight-month period.
