  • Samuels signs multi-million dollar bat deal

    first_imgWest Indies Batsman Marlon Samuels has signed a two-year endorsement deal with renowned bat makers C-A Sports.The lucrative, multimillion-dollar partnership will see Samuels using the top of the range CA Plus 15000 Elite Player Edition bat, plus the CA Sports thigh pads and gloves until January 2019.Samuels, an elegant middle-order batsman, will start using the bat during England’s One Day International tour of The West Indies from March 3 to March 9.Danny Arshad, Head of CA Player recruitment, says he is pleased to have Marlon Samuels as the newest ambassador for CA Sports.EXPLOSIVE CRICKET”We are delighted that the West Indies’ Top ODI batsman will be joining forces with the one of the world’s top manufacturers of cricket equipment to bring explosive cricket to fans everywhere.”Samuels is also pleased to represent CA Sports and the opportunities it presents him for helping to develop younger players.”What I like most about my CA bat deal is that it allows me to select two youngsters, who will also benefit directly by receiving bats from CA Sports.   • DONEGAL ARTIST SETTLES CASE AGAINST MAKERS OF HIT TV SHOW ‘LOVE/HATE’

    first_imgDonegal artist Kevin Sharkey has settled a dispute with the makers of hit RTE show Love/Hate.Artist Kevin SharkeyThe Killybegs man launched legal proceedings against Octagon Films and the national broadcaster after three of his paintings appeared on the show.The pictures appeared in the apartment of slain gangster John Boy in the first series of the show.
