The prosecutor’s office of Ternopil region in Ukrain filed criminal proceedings against the local resident over the smuggling of donors to Sri Lanka and the other countries, the press service of the Prosecutor’s Office of Ternopil region said today. The organ trafficker is currently in custody and faces imprisonment for a term from five to twelve years with confiscation of property. Surgeries were performed in medical centers in Ecuador, Costa Rica and Sri Lanka, for which donors received around $ 10,000 in cash, the media report said.
